Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday afternoon by Rev. T.J. Espy of Concord in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. Burial was at Mt. Olive church with Stephens Undertaking Co., of Thomaston in charge. Mrs. Barker is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida Garland and Mrs. Willie Morgan of Molena and Mrs. A.B. David of Calhoun; one son, Col. G.D. Dominick of Zebulon; one sister, Mrs. Josie Drewry of Newnan; one brother Mr. John Alford of Molena; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The grandsons were the pallbearers. Mrs. Barker was a pioneer citizen of Pike County and a member of one of the most prominent families of the county. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist church and a woman of strong noble Christian character. Additional Comments: Amanda Alford was first married to John Thomas Dominick who died 15 June 1862 (Civil War). She married 2nd William Thomas Barker. She was born in 1838.
