Funeral of Dr. Beckham

He Was Formerly Ordinary of Pike County

Zebulon, Ga., November 2 – (Special.) – The remains of Dr. J.C. Beckham, who 
died in Atlanta Saturday night, were brought here yesterday evening for 
interment.

Dr. Beckham was 88 years of age, and had lived here practically all of his 
life, until a few years ago.

He was once ordinary of Pike county, and afterwards practiced medicine here 
for many years, and was loved and respected by the people generally.

His wife, daughter and three sons survive him.

Interment took place here this morning at 10 o’clock in the Methodist 
cemetery, in the presence of a large number of his friends and relatives.
