Bevil died at her home near Williamson last Friday at 1 o’clock and was buried at the Bevil Cemetery near New hope church Saturday, Elder J.A. Wright conducting the funeral services. Mrs. Bevil was 61 years of age and had been a devout member of Flat Rock Primitive Baptist church for many years. She had been a great sufferer for the past several months but bore her affliction with Christian fortitude. All that devoted relatives, skillful physicians and good neighbors could do for her relief was cheerfully done. She is survived by her husband and five children: J.W. and J.B. Bevil of Williamson; E.B. Bevil of Atlanta; Mrs. W.M. Whatley of Concord; Mrs. E.B. Bevil of Griffin. Also the following sisters and brothers: J.J. Lee of Zebulon; C.S. Lee of Stockbridge; J.O. Lee of Franklin; Mrs. J.J. Smith of Augusta. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of a host of friends.
