Brandenburg On November 21, 1926, our heavenly father saw fit to take to himself the spirit of a beloved woman, Mrs. M.L. Brandenburg. The end came so quietly and peacefully, while she slept, that members of the family were not aware of it until morning. All who knew her loved her. Too much cannot be said of her good deeds and comforting words. She was always ready to help those who were sick or in trouble. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a good and helpful neighbor. She was an impartial friend, loving and helping all alike, and her place in the community cannot be filled. Her worth here cannot be measured, but the Great Judge can surely say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” She was a consecrated Christian having been for many years a member of Concord Christian church. She was quiet, modest, unassuming and did not her alms to be seen of men; yet she was strong and purposeful in questions of right and wrong. She spent her life in serving others, asking no rewards save that which comes to the good and just. Her life is an example before us - a life well spent, a crown well earned. She is survived by her husband, Mr. M.L. Brandenburg, four daughters, Mrs. C.F. Crawford; Mrs. Y.M. Anderson; Misses Sallielu and Nelle Brandenburg; two sons, S.B. and Clarke Brandenburg; one brother, C.A. Strickland; one sister, Mrs. L.J. Gregg - also a host of relatives and friends who mourn her loss.
