JOHN CALDWELL DIES AT HIS HOME NEAR NEAL

John Caldwell a well known and respected colored farmer died Sunday at his 
home near Neal and was buried at Neal on Tuesday. The deceased was a leader 
among his people in church and school work as well as an example to them as 
a successful farmer and land owner. He had by hard work and good management 
accumulated a good farm and other property. We have heard him say that there 
is no better place to live, and make a good living than right here in Pike 
County.
