She was about eighty years of age and was Miss Louisa Fincher before she was married to Mr. T.M. Carter in 1845. Her husband died in 1888. She united herself with the church in early life and lived a Christian life. She was a devoted member of Fincher’s church at her death. She was greatly beloved in the community and loved and respected by all who knew her for her many excellent traits. She has three children dead and is survived by Mrs. B.A. Lifsey, of Barnesville; Mrs. Neely Coppage, of South Georgia; Mrs. Fayette Taylor and Mrs. Callie Barrett, of near Zebulon; and two sons, R.R. Carter, of Zebulon and Windsor Carter, of Meansville. Funeral services were held at Fincher’s church Monday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. Jeff Davis, of Milner. A large number of people were present to pay their respects to her memory.
