Pfc. Earl Coggin Buried at Meansville

Killed in action [Korean War] August 1, 1950
Three days after arriving in Korea

Born in Pike County; attended Zebulon High School

Joined Army August 1949 
19th Regiment of 24th Division - 24 years old

Service:
Meanville Baptist Church Wed 3 pm
Rev. Willis E. Joiner and Rev. Marcus Jowers officiated

Burial:
Meansville Cemetery - full military honors.
Haisten Brothers Funeral Home

Parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Coggin of the Rock, Ga., R.F.D.;
two sisters, Mrs. W.A. Oliver of Meansville and Mrs. E.L.
Long of LaGrange and his grandmother, Mrs. Maud Robinson of
Opp, Ala.
