Dominick Died Wednesday Night From Pneumonia Pike County Representative Succumbed To An Attack of Pneumonia Wednesday Night. Funeral Friday Afternoon At 2:30. Hon. General David Dominick, age 69 years, representative of Pike county, in the General Assembly since 1927 died at his home here Wednesday night about 10 o'clock following an illness of some two weeks from pneumonia following an attack of the flu. Funeral services for Mr. Dominick will be held from the family residence Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with interment following in the Baptist cemetery here. Mr. Dominick contracted his last illness during the extra-ordinary session of the General Assembly being unable to respond to the roll call on Monday preceding the adjournment the following Thursday. Mr. Dominick is a native of Pike county having been born and reared near Molena, and where he still has considerable farming interests. He first began practicing law at Woodbury, later, moving to Zebulon where he has been an active attorney since first coming here. Mr. Dominick is one of the county’s large land owners, owning considerable farm property in this and Lamar counties beside quite a bit of valuable city property here and in neighboring towns. He was a member of the Zebulon Baptist church and the Masons. Mr. Dominick was first married to Miss Minnie Hooten on December 22, 1886. To this union three children were born, two of which survive. Mrs. Dominick died in June, 1896. On December 27, 1905 Mr. Dominick and Miss Genevive Mitchell were married. She having died in June, 1917. Mr. Dominick's third wife, who survives him, was Miss Florence Young, of Atlanta, they having been married about four years at the time of his death. Mr. Dominick, while more of the conservative type, was quite active in civic affairs during his earlier days and built on permanent basis where he believed the greatest benefits to his county could be accomplished. At the time of his death his farming interests were large and the greater portion of his time was devoted to personal supervision of these interests. Besides his wife, Mrs. Florence Young Dominick, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. R.C. Johnson, Zebulon, and Mrs. G.G. Dobler, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Lilla David, Calhoun, Ga., all of whom were at his bedside at the time of his death.
