Dunn died at his home in Vaughn Community early this morning after an illiness of two weeks. His death was unexpected although he had been ill. A native of Pike County, he moved to Griffin 30 years ago and had lived in Spalding County since that time. He was employed at Thomaston Mill, Griffin Division, for 15 years before retiring two years ago. He was a member of the Neal Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday agternoon at 3 o'clock from the Beulah Baptist Church. The Rev. Hoyt McGhee and the Rev. Fred Cox will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Turner Dunn; four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Green of Zebulon, Mrs. Edna Perdue of Experiment, Mrs. Frances Anthony of Griffin and Mrs. Betty McGahee of Griffin; 11 sons, Leon Dunn, Wallace Dunn, Ralph Dunn, Arrillion Dunn, and Fred Dunn, of of Griffin, Edward Dunn of Rover, W.H. Dunn of Thomaston, Benton Dunn of Barnesville, Bobby Dunn and Travis Dunn, both of of Vaughn, Clinton Dunn of SunnySide; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Gibson and Miss Eula Dunn, both of Griffin; 32 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His body was carried from Pittman Funeral Home to his home at Vaughn this agternoon where it will remain until time of the funeral.
