Darden, one of the pioneer citizens of Milner, and a man widely known throughout this section died suddenly Sunday morning. He had been ill, but his death was sudden and unexpected. He was 80 years old and was a gallant Confederate soldier, whose death will be mourned by many friends. The body was brought to Barnesville for burial Tuesday, a short service being held at the grave, conducted by Rev. Norman W. Cox. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. S. Rumble of Barnesville, and Mrs. A.C. Van Epps, of Atlanta. Deep sympathy is extended all the surviving relatives.
