Nash Broyles, former pastor, the Rev. Dan Brewster, pastor, and the Rev. Edsel Huffstettler, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Judge Elliott, a native of Pike County, came to Barnesville in his boyhood and had lived here since then. He was a steward in the Methodist Church and has been a merchant and Justice of the Peace a long number of years. The beloved Mr. Elliott was one of Barnesville's oldest and favorite citizens. He was known all over the community for his gentle manner and fairness in discharge of his duties. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clifford Willis Elliott; two nieces, Mrs. J. F. Godard, Palatka, Fla., and Miss Pearl Harris, Griffin; a nephew, George Wilson, Palatka, Fla., and a great niece, Mrs. George Mitchell, Palatka. Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
