Barnesville, Georgia, Thursday, February 14, 1878 Died Saturday morning the 9th inst., at 2 o'clock Mrs. Eliza Ivey, the widow of Ephraim Ivey, deceased, late of Upson County, Ga. She was in her 75th year, and has suffered from a spinal disease for the last four weeks. She leaves only one child, Mrs. M.A. Pound, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. She was one of the most consistent Christian ladies of Middle Georgia, but those who mourn her departure here, feel that she is now realizing the blissful immortality beyond "the river," where no parting, weeping or sorrow will be known. - P.
