Barnesville, Georgia, Thursday, November 30, 1882 On Thursday night last, Rev. Jacob Buffington, of this county died after a very short illness. He was one of the oldest inhabitants of the county and had been a minister of the Baptist denomination for nearly a half century. He has served as pastor of the Bethel Church for the past thirty years and leaves many friends to mourn his loss. Jacob Buffington, b. 6 Dec 1812, d. 3 Mar 1901 Lovecey's maiden name was Wadsworth. She was the daughter of Archibald Wadsworth and Clarissa Kenney.
