Ford, Zebulon. Zebulon, Ga., April 8. - (Special) - Zebulon has lost one of her most beloved and best citizens in the death of J.W. Ford, who died here this morning. "Uncle Joe," as he was familiarly known, was born near Zebulon Friday, February 22, 1832, and lived here all his life. At the age of eighteen he established himself in business as a tanner, shoe and harness maker. His harness shop still stands and his last work was done there a few days ago. When 21 years of age he joined Montgomery lodge, F.&A.M., and at his death was one of the oldest Masons in Georgia. The following children survive: Mrs. W.D. Berry and Mrs. W.G. Beckham, Zebulon; Mrs. A.H. Rawles, Haralson; J.S. Ford, New Orleans, and W.C. Ford, LaGrange. The funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Monday at the Methodist church here, of which the deceased had been a faithful and consistent member since childhood.
