LULA MANLEY CALLED BY DEATH. Impressive funeral services for Mrs. Lula Woodward Manley, 60, were conducted from Concord Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. C.W. Fruit, pastor of Kincaid Memorial Methodist church, officiated. Interment was in Old Hebron cemetery at Concord with Haisten Brothers, funeral directors, in charge. Mrs. Manley, wife of T.J. Manley, died at the home near Concord Monday afternoon. In declining health for the past year, she had been confined to her bed for the last three months. She was a charter member of the Neal, Ga., Batist church and had been a member for the past half century. Her parents were the late Jim Woodward and Melvina Kent Woodward. Mrs. Manley was born and reared in Pike County. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Bernice Manley of Williamson, and Franklin Manley of Barnesville, two daughters, Mrs. W.J. Bassett and Mrs. Will Terrell, both of Williamson, one sister, Mrs. Addie Parks of Fort Valley, and one brother Andrew Woodward of South Georgia. MRS. LEON GREEN. Funeral services for Mrs. Leon Green, 86, were conducted from the residence in Pike County. Rev. J.W. Rawls officated and interement was in the Green family cemetery Mrs. Green had been an invalid for the ast nineteen years but was seriously ill only a brief time before her death. urviving are four sons, Liege, of Zebulon, Will and Eugene, of Barnesville, and John, of near Griffin, three daughters, Mrs. Nannie Tolen and Mrs. Clyde Buchanan, of Pike county, and Mrs. Ada Shivers, of Milner, and a brother, Will McKinley, of Rochelle, Ga. BUCHANAN, MOTHER OF GRIFFIN’S “ROYAL TWINS” DIES Funeral services were conducted in Griffin for Mrs. Vivian Buchanan, wife of J.H. Buchanan and mother of Edward and Wally Buchanan, five-weeks-old Griffin twins. Rev. J.S. Hill officiated, and interment was in the Williamson Methodist cemetery. Mrs. Buchanan had been in serious condition since the birth of the tiny “royal” twins several weeks ago. Her death, however, came unexpectedly. The twins, meantime, continue to grow at the Strickland Memorial hospital.
