Gentry died at his home about three miles north of Zebulon last Friday. He had been suffering for many months and his death was not unexpected, although he had been confined to his room but a short time. He run as conductor on the Central railroad for a number of years and gained the title of captain. He came from Coweta to Pike almost twenty-five years ago. He leaves a widow and one child. The funeral services were held at Jolly Saturday and were conducted by Rev. W.H. Speer, of Zebulon. The interment took place at Jolly. Hartley, having in proper form applied to me for permanent letters of administration on the estate of Langdon Gentry, late of said county, this is to cite all and singular the creditors and next of kin of Langdon Gentry, to be and appear at my office within the time allowed by law, and show cause if any they can why administration should not be granted to W.M.
