Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, May 16, 1902 Mr. Sol C. Bloodworth Barnesville, Ga. May 17 - A telegram was received here today announcing the death of Mr. Sol C. Bloodworth at Trinidad, Col., which occurred this morning. The sad news came as a surprise, notwithstanding it was known that Mr. Bloodworth was quite ill. Capt. E.H. Bloodworth, his father, left Barnesville this morning for Colorado, but the news reached him in Atlanta and he did not go further. The remains will be sent to Barnesville for interment and will probably arrive here Tuesday. Mr. Bloodworth was a young man and was well known throughout the state having a large family connection. His death is a sad blow to his friends and family. (Transcribed 04/25/04 Lynn Cunningham) Additional Comments: At Greenwood Cemetery, Lamar County, Georgia: Sol C.
