Holsey Dead Last Thursday, September the 11th, the spirit of Mrs. J.W. Holsey passed to 'that shore from whence no traveler ever returns.' Mrs. Sarah Ellen Holsey was born February 6th 1845, in Pike county (now Spalding county), Georgia, and was a resident of Pike county all her life. She joined the Methodist church when a child. She married Mr. J. W. Holsey November 22nd, 1866. Mrs. Holsey was the mother of five children, three of whom are living. She is survived by her husband, Mr. J.W. Holsey, Zebulon, Ga., Mrs. A. F. Waller, Dawson, Ga., Mrs. J.M. Means, Zebulon, GA., Mrs. O.C. Bell, Athens, Ga., and nineteen grandchildren. The funeral sermon was preached by her pastor, Rev. Tatum, of The Rock, Ga., assisted by Rev. R. W. Rogers and Rev. Arthur ?. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery of Ebenezer church, of which church Mrs. Holsey had been a member for sixty years.
