Vinson, retired employe of Dundee Mills, died at the Griffin-Spalding Hospital Friday night, where he had been a patient since Thursday morning. Mr. Vinson spent most of his life in Griffin. He had been a guest at the Westbury Nursing Home in Jenkinsburg for two years. He attended the Palace Street Church of God. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Donald Elliott of Gainesville, Mrs. Raymond Johnson of Conyers, and Mrs. Eddie D. Banford of Griffin; a son, Jerry Vinson of Griffin; three sisters, Mrs. George Chambley of Macon, Mrs. Mattie Addinson and Mrs. Casselene Brown, both of Griffin; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Haisten Chapel. The Rev. Kelland K. Jeffords will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead cemetery. The body will remain at Haisten Funeral Home until the funeral.
