Final Rites Held Here Tuesday For Sidney Reaves Green

Funeral services for Mr. Sidney Reaves Green, 70, of Atlanta, formerly of 
Zebulon, were held at the Zebulon Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon.  Rev. 
A.W. Williams, pastor, officiated, and interment was in the Methodist cemetery.
Mr. Green, son of the late Dr. L.J. Green and Mattie Reaves Green, died Monday 
following a long illness.  He was born and reared here, where he lived a great 
part of his life, having owned and edited the Pike County Journal for a number 
of years.  After leaving Zebulon he connected with the Atlanta Journal for 
some time.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Means Green, a daughter, Mrs. 
Frances Hunter, and one son, James Green, both of Atlanta; one brother, L.J. 
Green of Milner.
