Mr. Green Dies at Orchard Hill
  Mr. Luther Jordan Green, 84, died suddenly at his home near Orchard Hill 
about 6 o'clock yeasterday afternoon.  Mr. Green was born and reared in Pike 
County and until his retirement in 1941 he was employed by the Southern Iron 
Equipment Co.
  Funeral services will be held at  11 o'clock tomorrow morning at Haisten's 
chapel.  The Rev. Eddie Morgan and the Rev. Wiley Virden will officiate and 
burial will be in East View Cemetery in Zebulon.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Wilkerson Kelly Green, 3 daughters, 
Mrs. M.Y. Awtry, Griffin, Mrs. E.C. Morgan, Milner, and Mrs. E.M. Goodman, 
Perry, GA.
  Mr. Green's body will remain at Haisten's Funeral Home.
