P. Barrow Judge E. P. Barrow died at his home in the Second District Saturday morning after a few days illness only, having been stricken with paralysis about a week before his death. He was born in the house in which he died, the Barrow old homestead, and had lived there all his life with the exception of a very few years. He was fifty- six years of age and a brother to Columbus Barrow, of California, B. N. Barrow, of Griffin, John Barrow, of Milner, Mrs. A. M. Brown and Mrs. P.R. Coker of the Second District. The deceased was one of the county's best citizens, a good man and highly esteemed by everybody. He was very useful in many respects and will be greatly missed in his community. He was married to Miss Sallie Pitts and she and five children survive him: Mesdames M. D. and Willie McLain, Mrs. Albert Pitts, Mrs. Bennie Moore and one son George Barrow. He had been a faithful member of New Hope Baptist church since young manhood. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Q. Buffington Sunday morning in the presence of an exceedingly large crowd of friends and admirers of the deceased after which his remains were interred in the family burial ground near the old homestead.
