Hatchett, John Lee Hatchett, Sr., age 67, died February 6, 1982
 
The Pike County Journal & Reporter, Wednesday, February 10, 1982:

Mr. Hatchett
  Mr. John Lee Hatchett, 67, of Route One, Williamson, died Saturday, 
February 6, at the Griffin-Spalding County Hospital.
  Mr. Hatchett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle Hatchett; 
five daughters, Sara Hammond of Thomaston, Mildred Carroll of Williamson, 
Helen Woodson of Madison, and Shirley Ison and Jackie Cox, both of Griffin; 
four sons, John Lee Hatchett, Jr., Jimmy Hatchett, Billy Hatchett, and 
Larry Hatchett, all of Williamson; 24 grandchildren, and nine 
great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Hatchett, Clarence Hatchett, Sr., 
and Travis Hatchett, all of Concord, and Paul Hatchett of Griffin; 
and one sister, Mrs. Francis Guy of Molena.
  The funeral was Monday, February 8, in the Neal Baptist Church.  
The Rev. I.G. Johnson and the Rev. Bob McCombs officiated.
  Haisten Funeral Home was in charge.
