Pike County Times-Journal, Zebulon, Ga., Friday, August 9, 1907

Concord

The many friends of Mrs. Sallie Mathews will be pained to hear of her death 
which occurred Sunday evening. She had been confined to her bed 18 months, 
suffering dreadfully, but bore it with Christian resignation. Her remains were 
laid to rest at Hebron cemetery Monday. Funeral services were conducted by 
Rev. J.W.R. Jenkins.

Sarah Oxford Mathews, b. 1847, d. 1907

Sarah Thomas Oxford Mathews was born 17 Jan 1847 and died 4 Aug 1907. She was 
a daughter of Aaron McFarland and Melvina Lynch Oxford. She married Edwin Dyer 
Mathews in Pike County on 23 December 1875.
