Means Zebulon, July 17. - J.H. Means, postmaster at this place, died Sunday after an illness of three days. The deceased was 41 years old and is survived by his wife, his father and mother and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Means was one of the most useful citizens in the community and his death has occasioned great sorrow over the entire town. Additional Comments: Joseph H. Means was married to Mattie Lou Pool on 25 February 1906 in Pike County, Georgia. She was born in Houston County to John S. Pool and Martha Manning. "Joe" was a son of James W. Means and Eliza Shehee. At Zebulon Methodist Church Cemetery: Joseph H. Means, b. 31 August 1875, Pike County, Georgia, d. 16 July 1916. Mattie Lou Pool Means, b. Abt 1873, d. 20 March 1948 Mattie Lou's grave is unmarked, but efforts are being made to mark it soon.
