MRS. EDNA MILNER DIED NEAR C'CORD TUESDAY MORNING
Wife of Well Known Pike Farmer — She Was a Devoted member of Williamson M.E.
Church — Survived by Husband and Seven Children

Mrs. Edan (sic) Thompson Milner, succumbed about one o'clock Tuesday morning at
her home near Concord, to a heart attack.

Mrs. Milner, daughter of the late J.S. Thompson and Martha McGahee Thompson, was
born and reared in Pike County. She was one of the county's most prominent
women. As a member of the Williamson Methodist Church she took an active part in
the affairs of the church and through her efforts to better the community around
her by her acts of kindness and teachings of the way of the Lord she had
endeared herself to a large circle of friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Milner were held from the Williamson Methodist Church
on Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock with the Rev. J.S. Hill officiating.
Haisten Brothers, funeral directors, were in charge.

She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. T.W. Daniel and Miss
Eleanor Milner, both of Decatur; Mrs. Vester Brooks, of Griffin; Misses Sara and
Jesse Claire Milner, both of Concord; and A.G. Milner, of Williamson; and one
sister, Mrs. Ora Reeves, of Atlanta.

Name of newspaper unknown. Dates on gravestone at Williamson UMC cemetery: 8 May
1877 - 23 April 1934.
