Griffin Daily News and Sun, Monday, May 15, 1922 
Mrs. A.B. Nelms, age forty-four, died at her home in Pike county, near Mt. 
Gilead church, Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock.  She is survived by her 
husband; two sons, W.L. and J.O. Nelms, all of Pike County.  Funeral services 
were held from Mt. Gilead church Sunday afternoon, Rev. W.U. Kendrick, of 
Griffin, officiating, with Haisten Brothers in charge of the interment, which 
was made in the church yard.

Additional Comments:
Effie O Buchanan Nelms was the daughter of James M Buchanan and Ann Eliza 
Crane Buchanan.  Her spouse was Alonzo B Nelms.  Her sons were William L. 
Nelms and James O Nelms.
