Nichols Dead Mrs. M.C. Nichols died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.G. Pope last Thursday. Old age must have been the cause of her death as she gradually passed away without any apparent signs of pain or sickness. She was eighty-six years old. She was the widow of the late Judge Nichols who died some ten or twelve years ago. The deceased was an estimable woman and was held in high esteem. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist faith, her church membership being at Harmony church about three miles east of Zebulon. She is survived by two children, Mrs. S.G. Pope, and Mr. Alonzo Martin, of Atlanta. Funeral services were held at home conducted by Rev. W.H. Speer. The interment took place in the family burial ground.
