Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, September 10, 1897 Death of Mrs. Jeff Cook The remains of Mrs. Jeff Cook, a former resident of Zebulon, who died at her home in Rome, Ga., on Monday night, were interred Wednesday at the Methodist cemetery at this place. Mrs. Cook was a Christian lady, prominently connected, and well thought by [of] by all who knew her. She was sixty six years old. Sept. 7, 1897 This is Elizabeth Maples, married to W.J. Cook in Pike County in 1854. While the newspaper obit states that she was 66 years old, her tombstone reads "Age 58 years."
