Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, March 4, 1898 Mr. T.L. McLendon The sudden death of Mr. T.L. McLendon which occurred at Concord last Wednesday evening was a shock to his many friends throughout the county. Mr. McLendon was born and raised in Pike County. He was a good citizen and highly respected. Since Xmas he has been living at Rover in Spalding county, but was at Concord, his old home, on a visit to his friends. He was in his usual health and after eating supper at Mr. J.J. Lee’s he went in town to talk with some friends, when he suddenly fell dead. Heart failure is supposed to be the cause of his death.
