Dr. J.N. Gilbert of Columbus Passes Away

News of the death of Dr. J.N. Gilbert, of Columbus, was received in Zebulon 
Saturday afternoon. Dr. Gilbert had been in declining health for sometime and 
for several days past his death had been expected momentarily. He was a devoted 
member of At. Luke Methodist church always took an active part in all works of 
charity. He is survived by his wife, who is a sister of Dr. C.F. Redding of 
this place and two children, Capt. S.P. Gilbert and Miss Maggie Gilbert.
