Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, June 16, 1899 Mr. H.H. Strickland Dead Just as we go to press we learn of the death of Mr. H.H. Strickland, which occurred at his home in Concord yesterday morning. Mr. Strickland had been suffering from paralysis for many months, and while his death was not entirely unexpected, it was nevertheless a shock to his loved ones. He was about sixty years old. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his death. The funeral services will occur at Concord today. Promoted Corporal. Promoted Junior Second Lieutenant May 13, 1863. Wounded at Chancellorsville, Virginia. Promoted First Lieutenant December 5, 1864. Wounded at Petersburg, Virginia.
