Death of W.H. Touchstone

Last Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock, Dr. W.H. Touchstone died at his home in Mt. 
Zion district in Spalding county.

He had been in feeble health for several months, having received two paralytic 
strokes within the last two years and on last Friday received the third which 
resulted as above stated.

Dr. Touchstone was one of the best known citizens of Spalding county and had 
many friends in Pike who will regret to hear of his death.

Additional Comments:
William H. Touchstone was a son of Dennis N. Touchstone and Obedience (Biddy) 
McLeroy. He was born in Pike County on 20 Aug 1840 and died 3 Mar 1899. He is 
buried in the Touchstone Family Cemetery, Spalding County, Georgia.
