The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, January 26, 1900

Mr. G.W. Head Dead

Mr. G.W. Head, who recently moved from Meriwether county here to live with his 
son, Dr. J.M. Head, died last Friday morning at 11 o’clock after an illness of 
only a few hours.

Mr. Head was 88 years of age and was one of the best and most pious men in this 
section.

George Washington Head was born 15 June 1812 and was married to Lavinia Ponder 
on 25 December 1836.
