Mr. S.O. Jones Loses His Life

New reached here this week of the sudden death of Mr. S.O. Jones which occurred 
near Leesburg, Fla., last Tuesday.

Mr. Jones went out to get his little daughter off the railroad track who was 
trying to save her dog from being run over by an approaching train. Mr. Jones 
succeeded in saving his little girl but was run over and killed himself.

Up to ten years ago he was a resident of this county and had many friends here 
who were pained to hear of his death.

Mr. Jones was a brother of Messrs.. W.F. and C.P. Jones and Mesdames R.D. Adams 
and W.J. Franklin.
