“Uncle Sam” Hammond Dead

“Uncle Sam” Hammond who has been sick for many months at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. J.A. Wright, died last evening. The remains will be carried to 
his old home in Spalding county today for interment.

Additional Comments:
This is Samuel J. Hammond, b. 24 Apr. 1822, d. 5 July 1900. The daughter 
mentioned is Cynthia Elizabeth Hammond. She was married to John A. Wright.
