Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, April 6, 1900 A Good Man Gone Benjamin R. Wright was born in North Carolina in 1830 and peacefully died in his sleep at the home of his nephew, Mr. W.J. Carter, near Meansville, Ga., March 31st 1900. Those dates can not tell the joy, the sorrow, the fidelity and the faithfulness of his life. He was converted at a very tender age and his Christianity was not only an inward experience but a practical force. He had received Christ’s blessings and life into his and went forth to show the power of the divine life into humanity. He was active and self-sacrificing in his devotion to the Master, and was always identified with the best interests of the church. He gathered about him a strong company of valuable and valued friends of the very best people. He fashioned his life according to the rules of goodliness. Hence he was known throughout the circuit of his acquaintance as a man of intelligence and integrity, solid piety, and strong Christian character. The end was sweet and peaceful. “At last in Jesus blessed sleep, From which none ever wake to weep.” - G.W.
