Q. Brown Dies At Home In Toccoa R. Q. Brown, 69, a retired businessman of 767 Falls Road, Toccoa, died Friday morning in Stephens County Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Brown was born in Pike County, April 19, 1899, a son of the late Walter B. Brown and Ollie May Elliot Brown, and had lived in Stephens County most of his life. He was a member of the Toccoa Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Pearline Kesler Brown, one son, Sam Brown of Toccoa; three brothers, Paul Brown and Lewis Brown, both of Thomaston, Tom Brown of California; three sisters, Mrs. Lorena Pasley of Meansville, Mrs. J. S. Adams, The Rock, Mrs. Howard Morris of Atlanta and two grandsons. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Toccoa Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Smith, Rev. Jack Lamb and Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Burial was in the Toccoa City Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews: Emory Pasley, James Adams, Walter Brown, Floyd Brown, Donald Kesler, Jerry Ertzberger, Wesley Brown and Alton Pitts.
