Ward, age 70, of Thomaston died late Monday afternoon, Nov. 1, in the Upson County Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Beulah Baptist church. Rev. Billy Fox and Rev. clarence Denny officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Ward was a native of Pike County. He had been a resident of Upson County for the past 40 years and retired in 1974 from the Thomaston Division of Thomaston Mills. He was a member and deacon of the Beulah Baptist Church. Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Louise Willis Ward of Thomaston; three sisters; Mrs. Beatrice Haney of Thomaston, Mrs. Beulah Garrett of Greenville, S.C., and Mrs. Julia Belle Wilson of Smithville, Va.
