Final Rites For
George Hamlett
Held On Tuesday
  Final rites for George Walsh Hamlett, 79, was held Tuesday morning at 11 
o'clock from the Molena Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Dowis, the Rev. 
Ton Pilkenton and the Rev. Donald Thomas officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Olive 
Cemetery with Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
  Mr. Hamlett died Sunday at the Upson County Hospital.  He resided on Route 
1, Molena.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie McCrary Hamlett; six daughters, Mrs. 
Mertha Stubbs and Mrs. Byron Ellerbee, both of Thomaston; Mrs. Granville Cox 
and Mrs. Melton Smith, both of Molena; Mrs. Pete Stallone, Gulfport, Miss; 
Mrs. George Troubetaris, Beverly, Mass.; six sons, Willis, Hoyt, Mack, Harold 
and Lowell Hamlett, all of Thomaston; Oran Hamlett, Molena; two brothers, E.C. 
Hamlett and L. B. Hamlett, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. K.D. Dorris, 
Miami, Fla.; Mrs. C. E. Buker, Coral Gables, Fla.; thirty-four grandchildren 
and eight great grandchildren also survive.
