Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, August 9, 1901 Miss Parthina Green Dies Suddenly Miss Parthina Green of this place died suddenly Sunday evening of apoplexy, while sitting on her front porch talking with two of her lifelong friends, Mrs. Searson of South Carolina and Mrs. Emma Thornton of Atlanta, who were visiting friends and relatives here, and who had but a few minutes before called to see her. She was stricken down and never spoke again. She had just stated to her friends that her health was unusually good. She was a daughter of the late Hartford Green. After a funeral sermon by Rev. A.B. Pope, at the Methodist church, she was laid to rest in the Baptist cemetery. (Transcribed 10/12/03 Lynn Cunningham) Additional Comments: At East View Cemetery, Pike County, Georgia Parthenia B.T.
