Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, February 1, 1901 James Gardner Suicides News reached Griffin yesterday of the suicide of James Gardner, a farmer fifty years old, whose home was in Pike county, twelve miles east of this city. He committed the deed by swallowing an entire bottle of morphine and died in spite of all efforts to save him. No cause can be assigned for the rash act, as he was not known to be in any financial embarrassment, his health was not seriously impaired, his domestic relations were also said to be pleasant. He leaves a wife and several children who have deep sympathy in their bereavement. - Griffin News (Transcribed 10/11/03 Lynn Cunningham) This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
