Allen, sheriff of Pike county passed away at the home in Zebulon, Ga., Friday afternoon at 2:45 o'clock. Mrs. Allen had been in feeble health for several weeks and only recently was carried to an Atlanta sanitarium where every effort was made to save her life. She was before her marriage, Miss Scott, daughter of a prominent family in Pike county, and her death has brought sorrow to a wide circle of friends. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. T. E. Steele, Griffin and Misses Mary and Martha Allen both of Zebulon; one son, William Allen also of Zebulon; one sister, Mrs. C.M. Anderson, Zetella, and two brothers, R. A. Scott, Homestead, Fla., and C. W. Scott of Pensacola, Fla. Funeral services will be held from the Zebulon Methodist Church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. J. S. Thrailkill will officiate. Burial will be in the church yard with Haisten Brothers in charge. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pall-bearers and will assemble at the residence at 2:40 o'clock: J. B. Woods, H. E. White, J. W. Story, R. C. Johnson, J. A. Corley, and J. H. Baker. Additional Comments: Elly Eunice Scott Allen was the daughter of William S Scott and Martha Huckaby Scott.
