J. Banks, and pioneer resident of this city, died at her home 511 Poplar street, last night at 7:30 o'clock. Although her death was not unexpected it came as a great shock to her many friends. Mrs. Banks had been in feeble health for several years and since the first of December had been confined to her bed suffering from high blood pressure. She was 66 years of age, having been born the 4th of August 1862. She was the daughter of the late George Gregg and Anne Coggin Gregg. Surviving Mrs. Banks are three daughters, Mrs. T.E. Drewry, of Williamson, and Miss Maud and Minnie Banks of this city. Funeral services will be held from the home at 511 Poplar street, Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. H.S. Smith and Rev. O.K.
