J. Prior Died Suddenly In Griffin Tuesday. Mr. A. J. Pryor, of Hollonville, commonly known as "Uncle Jack" Pryor, died suddenly in Griffin Tuesday morning. He went to Griffin Monday to attend to some business connected with the estate of Mrs. Martha E. Nelson, a sister of his wife and who is also a beneficiary under Mrs. Nelson's will and remained over until Tuesday, spending the night with nephew Mr. W. H. Baker. They were on their way up town Tuesday morning in Mr. Pryor's buggy when Mr. Baker noticed him to suddenly drop his head back and drop the lines on the horse. Mr. Baker called assitance and they hurried to a drug store which when they reached he was pronounced dead by Dr. J. S. Wells. He had spoken of feeling exceeding well the previous night ate a very hearty breakfast. His death was due to heart failure. The deceased was 81 years of age and was born and raised near Hollonville and was one of the oldest citizens of the county. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Pryor, a sister of the late Col. John H. Baker, and three children, Tobe Pryor, H. L. Pryor and Mrs. Monroe M. Irvin. The interment took place at Hollonville Wednesday.
