Lifsey Passes Tuesday Night Another honored and highly respected pioneer citizen passed away when death called B.N. Lifsey, age 84 years. He died at the family home east of the city. While he had not been in the very best of health lately, he was apparently feeling much better when he retired Tuesday. When the family went to call him Wednesday , he was found dead, having passed away peacefully during the night. Funeral services are being held up, pending the arrival of a son from Phoenix, Arizona. Services will be held either at the Gus Pool & Son Funeral Chapel, or the Methodist Church, of which he had been a member practically all of his life. Rev. Don LaGrone, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery. Services will be in charge of Guss Pool & Son. Mr. Lifsey was born in Georgia and the family moved to Durant in 1905. Mrs. Lifsey passed away several years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a good Christian man, doing good as he journeyed through life. He is survived by seven children, Mrs. W.T. Perry, Durant; C.O. Lifsey, Phoenix, Arizona; Pate Lifsey, Chickasha; Willie Lifsey, Bonham; Curtis Lifsey, Durant; T.W Lifsey, and a number of grandchildren.
