Moore, 69, beloved Griffin woman, who passed away at an early hour Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.E. Moore, on Tenth street. The Rev. D.A. Brindle, pastor, officiated, assisted by the Rev. L.W. Blackwelder, rector of St. George's Episcopal church, and the Rev. Olin Fox, pastor of the Christian church. The services were largely attended and the floral offerings were beautiful and abundant. After tribute had been paid to the deceased, she was buried in the churchyard. The pall-bearers were Gilman Drake, Will Butler, A.G. Edwards, Clifford Yarbrough, P.W. Vaughn, Will Lewis and Barney Randall. Frank S. Pittman was funeral director in charge. Mrs. Moore had been confined to her bed since July 1929. She had borne her suffering with great fortitude. She was formerly Miss Miranda Patterson, the daughter of the late Frank Patterson and Pallie Anderson. She was born and reared in this section and had been a devoted member of the Christian church since early girlhood. Mrs. Moore was the widow of the late T.P. Moore, very prominent in affairs of Pike county and a well-known farmer leaving between Williamson and Hollonville. She was a woman of splendid characteristics and Christian graces and was beloved by all who knew her. In addition to Mrs. Moore, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. A.C. Reeve, of Williamson; one sister, Mrs. Leila Adair, of Florida; and two brothers, E.T. McGahee, of Williamson, and Cliff McGahee, of Meansville.
