Coggin, well known Pike county farmer and planter, were conducted from the home near Williamson this afternoon at 2 o'clock . Rev. Charles B. Holder, pastor of the First Christian church here, officiated. Burial was in the Coggin Family cemetery with Haisten Brothers, funeral directors, in charge. Mr. Coggin died at his home near Williamson Wednesday morning, following a long illness. He was 53 years of age. He was born and reared in Pike county and was a life-long resident of that community. He was the son of the late S.S. Coggin and Phoebe Jackson Coggin. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H.H. Ayers, of Griffin, and Mrs. W.B. Shannon, of Opelika, Ala., two sons, Claude and Eugene Coggin, of Williamson; and a sister, Mrs. M.L. Pryor, of Griffin.
