Bloodworth lost his balance, fell into the Flint River and was swept away by the turbulent waters. The water was over the floor of the bridge, and he and some friends decided that they could mount the banister and walk safely to the other shore, but while crossing he became excited or some way lost his footing and fell into the river on the lower side of the bridge. He attempted to swim, but his efforts were futile against the current and he was carried down the stream while his companions, with alarm, watched him sink to his death. Mr. Bloodworth has relatives and friends in this county who were pained to learn of his tragic death. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
