Death of Rev. J.H. Stanford’s Father

The sympathy of the people of Taylor County is extended to Rev. J.H. Stanford 
in the grief that overshadows him in the death of his father, Mr. J.E. 
Stanford.  The death of Mr. Stanford occurred at his home at Concord, Ga., 
Saturday morning about 10:30 o’clock, the cause of which was not stated in the 
telegram received from the family, but thought to have been sudden.

Rev. Stanford was engaged in preparing important reports to be read at the 
fourth quarterly conference of his charge when the sad news was received, but 
left at once to be with his mother in her sad hour, and to attend funeral and 
interment of the body at Waverly Hall Saturday.  The conference which was held 
at Crowells Saturday adopted suitable resolutions, expressing sympathy to their 
beloved pastor.
